Resources
Our students have access to a wide array of resources, ensuring they have everything required to excel in their studies. These resources include:
1. Digital Library: Access to an extensive library of Qur'anic, Islamic, and Arabic language resources. This includes classical texts, contemporary publications, and research materials.
2. Course Materials: Each course provides comprehensive study materials, including syllabi, textbooks (in digital form), supplementary reading lists, and assignment guidelines. These are readily available through the college's online platform.
3. Recorded Lectures: For students who may miss a class or wish to review a lesson, recorded lectures are made available. This ensures flexibility in learning and revision.
4. Interactive Resources: In addition to traditional texts, we provide a range of interactive materials including quizzes, practice exercises, and multimedia presentations to enhance learning.
5. Mentorship & Support: Students have access to experienced mentors who provide guidance and support throughout their studies. These mentors help with both academic and personal development.
6. Communication Channels: We provide dedicated forums, group discussions, and chat rooms where students can interact with their peers and instructors, allowing for collaborative learning and mutual support.
At Imam Ahmad bin Ibrohim Sulaimiy College, we employ a combination of traditional and modern teaching techniques to ensure effective learning:
1. Structured Qur'an Memorization: Our memorization programmes are designed for efficiency and retention. Students follow a carefully planned sequence, starting from short Surahs for beginners and advancing to longer portions, with a strong emphasis on daily review (Muraja'ah) and repetition. Each step is monitored to ensure mastery before moving forward.
2. Interactive Lessons: Whether it's Qur'anic studies, Arabic grammar (Nahwu), or other courses, lessons are delivered interactively through live video classes, where students can ask questions, participate in discussions, and receive immediate feedback.
3. Personalised Learning: Each student is evaluated individually, and the teaching method is tailored to meet their specific needs. For Qur'an recitation and Tajweed, for example, students practice reciting aloud in front of an instructor who provides real-time correction and advice.
4. Assessments & Feedback: Regular tests, quizzes, and oral evaluations are conducted to track student progress. Constructive feedback is provided, enabling students to adjust their study strategies accordingly.
5. Practical Applications: For Arabic language courses, students engage in real-world practice such as conversation exercises, writing assignments, and grammar drills. This ensures that theory is applied practically, which helps solidify language acquisition.
6. Self-Paced Learning: Students can access recorded classes and study materials at their convenience, allowing them to learn at their own pace and review key concepts as needed.
